Daily Photo: Hollywood Studios Exit

The final scene at Disney’s Hollywood Studios: The exit. Everyone heads to the entrance, which also serves as the exit, at the end of the evening. My original intent was to get a couple of shots of the relatively empty Hollywood Boulevard. But just as I got everything set up, the crowd from Fantasmic! started making its way down the street. So I included them, or at least their “ghosts,” too.

About the Photo

I had set up the camera and tripod for three brackets (-2, 0, +2). It was interesting to see how some people would try to get out of the way pretty far back, and some would keep walking right up almost to the camera. Brackets were merged and tonemapped in Photomatix, final processing in GIMP.
