Daily Photo: Hollywood & Vine

Hollywood & Vine is one of the restaurants found in Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World in Florida. “Where Famous Stars Dine,” as the neon says across the front. Well, we may not be famous stars, but we did dine there on our last trip. We were there for the character breakfast, although this photo was taken a few hours later.

One detail I always like is up on the second floor where Roger Rabbit burst through the blinds in the window next to the “Eddie Valiant, Private Investigator” window. Not that the younger ones really have any idea of who Roger Rabbit and Eddie Valiant are any more. Still, it is a neat touch that has survived all these years.

About the shot:
I really like how the red umbrellas contrast with the bright blue sky. Three exposures (-2, 0, +2) tonemapped in Photomatix, edited in PaintShop Pro. Read more about the photo software I use.
