Daily Photo: Walt Disney World Dolphin

Walt Disney World Dolphin

The Walt Disney World Dolphin hotel stands out from the bright blue sky on a sunny day as the sun shines overhead and the clouds put on a show of their own.

Many people claim to dislike the Dolphin, along with its sister hotel the Swan. I would assume that the dislike comes from the fact that they are visible from within World Showcase in Epcot. However, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is also visible from World Showcase, and people still seem to like it.

Personally, I like the Swan and Dolphin. We hadn’t stopped by to visit them in several years, and I had forgotten how many photo opportunities there are at those hotels. So visually, I like them a lot. My only complaint about them would be that they aren’t actually run by Disney, so that once you are inside they don’t have quite that same Disney feel, except maybe inside the Disney-run character shop in each one.

Still, I enjoy walking around the hotels to see their great Michael Graves architecture.
