Daily Photo: Walt Disney World Swan

Walt Disney World Swan

Across from the Dolphin hotel is the Walt Disney World Swan. Both designed by Michael Graves, they complement each other nicely. While the Dolphin is more angular, the Swan is more rounded. And I love how the colors jump out underneath the brilliant blue sky.

While I have always enjoyed the Magic Kingdom resorts, particularly the originals - the Polynesian and the Contemporary, I hadn’t paid that much attention to the Epcot resorts. But the more time that we spend walking around them, the more I enjoy them.

I like how you can easily walk between the Swan, Dolphin, Yacht Club, Beach Club, and Boardwalk, and you can even walk to World Showcase in Epcot. And yet, even though they are within walking distance, it doesn’t feel as though they are right on top of each other. And at the same time, each one feels like it is a world of its own.
