Back from the Beach

Cocoa Beach, Florida

We are back home after a week spent at the beach. In case you wondered why it was relatively quiet around here, that’s why. And if you didn’t notice or just didn’t care, that’s fine, too.

Our beach of choice was Cocoa Beach, Florida, as it always is. Although if someone wanted to send us to a nice beach without giving us a choice, that would be just fine, too. But if we are choosing, we will choose Cocoa Beach every time. And this time it was just about perfect. Nice sunny days and hot temperatures, which is what we want when we go to the beach. Hot enough out that you don’t feel cold, and hot enough to make the water feel even more refreshing, too. There was a rain shower just about every day, but while we were there it seemed like the rain arrived later than it usually does. So each day we spent either 6 or 7 hours on the beach before we had to leave. And most of those days, we would have stayed even longer if we could have.

To some people, staying on the beach that long for four days in a row might get to be boring, but not to us. We would go out with our body boards and ride the waves, always looking to get that perfect wave. Sometimes we would have good waves, sometimes we wouldn’t have good waves, but we didn’t mind either way.

And this was an adults-only trip, as Jaylin enjoyed a nice week of being spoiled by his grandparents. We try to take a trip like that every year, because I am a firm believer that it will do wonders for your marriage. Go ahead, give it a try!

As always, I took lots and lots of photos, and a few videos, too. So of course that means that you will be seeing them here once I start to get things organized. Be sure to watch for those soon. Of course, I still have lots of photos from our other trip back in June to share, too. Just in case you thought you had seen all of those.

You can always tell how good a trip was by how much you don’t want to come home when it is over. And we definitely didn’t want to come home after this trip! It was that good. Definitely.
