Captain America Bow Tie

For our anniversary, Laura made me a Captain America bow tie, and I proudly wore it Sunday morning. But only because I didn’t have an occasion to wear it before then.

Knowing that I was interested in bow ties, Laura found a pattern on the internet, and then she found some material that she knew I would like (hint: if it is Captain America, I will probably like it). I thought it made the perfect anniversary present. Partly because it is Captain America, but mainly because Laura made it.

I had never actually worn a real bow tie before, so I did have the challenge of learning to tie one. But thanks to a YouTube video, I was able to learn it pretty quickly. How did people learn to tie bow ties before the internet was around?

Just another reason I am happy to have Laura as my wife.
