Photo: The Walt Disney World Dolphin of Terror

The Walt Disney World Dolphin

Actually, there isn’t really anything spooky about staying at the Dolphin hotel at Walt Disney World. It looks like a nice place. Usually. But here, the gathering clouds overhead remind me of most of the publicity photos you might see for the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. So that is the explanation for the title of this post, in case you are wondering.

You may remember that we saw lots of clouds when we visited the Boardwalk Resort. These are some of those same clouds, just at a different hotel. And maybe not quite as dark as they were by the time we got to the Boardwalk, because that was when the rain started. They were still just getting ready for some rain here.

But here, the elevator doesn’t drop suddenly and unexpectedly from the top floor. It is just a normal hotel with a normal elevator. No need to have the kids start crying when they are going in the door from anticipation of something bad about to happen. Although if they put a big slide down the outside of that triangular part, that might be really cool!
