Photo: A Classic Car
This past weekend was the annual Williston Old-Timers Festival in our hometown of Williston, Tennessee. We always try to drop by when we can to see what we can see. The festival isn’t especially large, but then neither is Williston. We especially like to see all of the old cars and tractors that are on display.
This year, Jaylin and I stopped by as we were on our way to see Laura at the craft fair she was at to sell her jewelry. Each year, there is a slightly different mix of old cars, and this year this blue Ford was about my favorite. Silly me, I forgot to make a note of the year of this one, but I believe it is a 1931 Model A Ford, with a nice metallic blue paint job that really made it stand out. Obviously, it didn’t have quite all of the original equipment, as you can see, because I am sure that Henry Ford hadn’t thought to make wheels like that in the 1930s. But still, it was a really cool car to see, because they just don’t make them like they used to, do they?
In keeping with the style of the car, I used a combination of some HDR processing and a slightly antique look, merging a bit of new and old here.
