The Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World

One of my favorite resorts to visit at Walt Disney World is the Polynesian Resort, which was at one time called the Polynesian Village Resort, and is now called that again. I have to get used to typing “Polynesian Village” again for all of these posts. Because personally, I prefer the original/new name, probably because that was the name that I knew it by from the beginning.

Lately, however, I haven’t taken that many photos of the Polynesian. Ahem, Polynesian Village. It seems that we are often there right as it is getting dark, and our first order of business is usually to go eat at Captain Cook’s. Once we are finished there, the sun has gone down and it is starting to get dark. So I don’t always have that many photos to share.

But I did come across this photo above. It wasn’t quite dark yet, but the clouds were pretty thick and there wasn’t all that much light. But I used what I had, and in the end it made the clouds look all the more intense, which was fine with me.

I have mixed feelings about the changes that are taking place at the Polynesian Village, but I am hoping that overall the changes will be good without greatly affecting the nice atmosphere that I enjoy there. We’ll see.
