Random Thoughts - 1/23/15

Time for some more Random Thoughts! Some were from the State of the Union address, some were from some really cold days, and really smart scientists are trying to discover where some of the others came from.

Tonight is the State of the Union address. Also known as DVR and Netflix Night.

Remember back in the old days (like when Lincoln was president) when the State of the Union address was a worthwhile speech and not just, “Hey, look at me! And if you don’t agree with me, you are wrong!”?

Maybe the State of the Union address would be a little more interesting with some product placement. “Welcome to the State of the Union address. But first, do you have a problem with bloating like I do with the federal deficit? Try Gas-X!”

Do mimes have Twitter and Facebook accounts? And if so, do they just post emojis?

It is so cold outside that instead of milk the cows are giving ice cream.

Weather update: It is still cold outside. Just thought I would let you know since people stopped posting screenshots of their weather apps.

Hey, you know what’s cool? Me either, apparently.

I’m starting to have second thoughts about this whole responsible adult thing.

If you were a landscape painter around here, lately you could probably throw away all of your paint colors except for gray.

You know what I miss? Real emails that are more than just social media notifications.

Must have missed the sign that said, “Turn off engine when fueling, unless it is really cold and you want to sit in the car to stay warm.”

Shouldn’t New Kids on the Block consider a name change? They are no longer new or kids. And I’m not sure about the block, either.

My barn coat is Sherpa lined. Sorry to the Sherpas who gave up their skins for that.

Hey, guess what I’m doing? If you guessed, “Redoing something that I had already finished,” then you might be a winner!

Sunny day, sweeping the clouds away. On my way to work inside all day…

You know those days when you really need a vacation but you will settle for more caffeine? That’s today for me.

I currently have 150 pounds of horse grain in the trunk of the car. That should help with traction in case it snows tomorrow, right?

That’s all for this time! Be sure to check back later or follow along on Twitter for more!
