Laura at Lover's Leap in Rock City

Laura at Lover’s Leap in Rock City

Laura stands near Lover’s Leap at Rock City in Chattanooga, Tennessee. No, she did not leap, in case you were wondering. And no one else in our group leaped, either. Or leapt. And just so you know, the spellcheck on my computer flags “leapt” as a misspelled word. I guess the computer never leapt for joy over anything. Evidently, it just leaped. But I checked and “leapt” is still acceptable as the past tense for “leap”. So spellcheck can just go take a leap off Lover’s Leap.

One of the other parents on Jaylin’s 6th grade class trip was our friend Tiffany, pictured below with Laura at Rock City. It seems like it wasn’t all that long ago that we were on high school band trips together. But on those trips we were students and not adults. Well, technically, on the one band trip that all three of us were on together, I was a college student tagging along with the band, but I still wasn’t really an adult. Anyway, it makes me wonder where the time went. Because when I do the math, something just doesn’t seem right.
