Rapunzel's Kingdom in the Evening

Lanterns at the Tangled Restrooms in Walt Disney World

The lanterns that fascinated Rapunzel glow in the early evening at the Tangled restrooms in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.

I know that some people have complained that while other movies get rides and attractions, Tangled only got some restrooms. But restrooms are essential, too, you know. And I like that these restrooms have a theme. That theme even extends to inside the restrooms themselves. At least, I know that is true for the men’s room; I haven’t actually been in the ladies’ room, in case you are wondering. But the men’s room has the coordinated color scheme, wanted posters of some of the movie characters, and even frying pans on the wall.

Actually, I don’t know how you would really make a ride out of Tangled. You could do some sort of “scenes from the movie” ride as they did with the Little Mermaid, but while Rapunzel and Flynn are great characters, to me Tangled doesn’t have as many iconic scenes as the Little Mermaid. Instead of a ride, they could do some sort of stage show. But stage shows really don’t appeal to me much, unless it is something really great like the American Adventure at Epcot. So if they did do a stage show, I probably would only see it once, as would many others, I would guess.

So perhaps a nicely themed restroom area was a good choice for Tangled. I don’t mind it at all.

About the Photo

As nice as this area is during the day, it is even better in the evening or after dark when all of the lights are on. But that means that you have to figure on more than just a quick snapshot as you are slowing down your walk. This one was still handheld, however, and I think it turned out well.
