Music at the Grand Floridian

The Grand Floridian Society Orchestra was taking a break when we walked by at the Grand Floridian Resort at Walt Disney World.

I always enjoy the live music in the lobby of the Grand Floridian, whether it is from the Society Orchestra or from the pianist playing the grand piano down below. When walking into the lobby from the Monorail station or from the main entrance down below, hearing the music helps to set the mood for the resort. And besides that, it helps to make the lobby feel alive, instead of just being a large empty space. The music is one of those many touches that make the Grand Floridian unique.

Of course, the music is also probably one of those touches that makes the Grand Floridian out of our price range. Because those musicians don’t work for free, after all. Oh well, at least they don’t mind that we wander in for a visit when we aren’t staying there.
