Buford's in Holly Springs, Mississippi

Buford’s in Holly Springs, Mississippi

The other day, I had to go to Oxford, Mississippi, for a business meeting. I have now been to Oxford twice, but I haven’t seen much of the town either time. Once this particular meeting was over, I hit the door and headed for home.

The road home took me through Holly Springs, Mississippi, which is one of the towns we pass through on our way to Florida and other points south of us. Whenever we go through there, I always think about stopping for some photos in the town square. However, I usually don’t stop because we have just left home or because it is late at night and we are trying to get home.

I thought about that again as I was on my way home from the meeting, but I was ready to be home, so I decided not to stop. But then I saw a store on the town square named Buford’s. And I thought, “How can you not stop to take a photo of a place called Buford’s?” So I stopped.

As it turns out, Buford’s is a furniture store, in case you were wondering. I didn’t go inside, but I did walk all around the town square to get some photos, and I will share more of those later on.

So even though I was ready to get home, I’m glad I stopped to look around. Nice place.
