Chinese Theater at Disney's Hollywood Studios

Chinese Theater at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

For the first few years after the Disney-MGM Studios (now known as Disney’s Hollywood Studios) opened, I took lots and lots of photos of the Chinese Theater. I thought it looked really neat, and it looked almost exactly like the photos that I had seen of the real Chinese Theater out in California.

But after those first few years, the number of Chinese Theater photos I took steadily declined, until I only took one or two each time. Sometime after that, they built the large Sorcerer hat in front of the Chinese Theater, making it difficult to get a good view of the front of the theater. And then I started wishing I had taken more photos of it over the years.

Fortunately, when I got a wide angle lens, it became possible to get some of the photos of the Chinese Theater that I had been wanting, such as this one. You still can’t get a shot of it from the far end of Hollywood Boulevard because the big hat is in the way, but I can get some views of it. I’m happy with this one.

Oh, and that is my family on the right, looking over at me and wondering when I will hurry up and finish so that we could move on.

About the shot:
A single RAW exposure, processed in Adobe Lightroom. Read more about the photo software and gear I use at the camera gear page.
