Laura at the Lake

As you can tell, it was rather cold on that day, but we still took some time to walk down to the lake and check out the views. It actually wasn’t as cold as it had been, and the sun warmed things up a bit. But we still needed our coats.

As I mentioned previously, our trip to Pickwick was for our church’s couples retreat. It was nice to get away together, even if the time did go by quickly. Thankfully, there was a good bit of free time on the schedule, which allowed everyone to get out and wander around, or just stay in the Inn and play card games.

When asked at the end what everyone enjoyed about the weekend, someone was quick to say, “No kids!” And most everyone else agreed. Nothing against children, of course, but it is always good to have some time just for the parents to be together. And that is what we did.
