Admiral Donald Duck in the Disney Dream

Admiral Donald Duck in the Disney Dream

Admiral Donald Duck (in statue form) stands in the Atrium Lobby of the Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Dream cruise ship.

Each of the Disney cruise ships has a different character statue in its Atrium Lobby, and the statue in the Disney Dream is of Admiral Donald Duck. Of course, we all know that Donald isn’t really an admiral, but we won’t spoil his fun by telling him that. After all, he looks so happy here. You wouldn’t want to make him throw one of his famous temper tantrums, would you? Also, his placement here is fitting, because the Aquaduck water coaster on the upper deck was inspired by him, too. Of course, the Disney Fantasy has an Aquaduck coaster as well, but it was here on the Dream first.

And no, the ship wasn’t completely empty when I took this photo. If you look closely, you can see a couple of people in the background in a few places. We just happened to walk by right at the right time in the middle of the day, when most people were off doing other things. So we made the most of it with a few photos of us with Donald, too.

As a bonus, if you look closely, you can see some Disney characters in the metal railings, as well as in the metal relief work between levels.
