The Disney Dream's Atrium Lobby

The Disney Dream’s Atrium Lobby

A large chandelier lights up the atrium lobby of the Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Dream.

As you can see, the atrium lobby is a huge space, and it stretches from the third level to the fifth level. At the time that I took this, I was standing on the fourth level, giving a good overview of the entire space.

You can see there are quite a few people waiting to have their pictures taken on the grand staircase, as one family is currently doing in this photo. To the left of the staircase, Captain Guus, the ship’s captain, stands next to the statue of Donald Duck as he waits for the next family to be photographed with him. And to the left of Captain Guus, a couple of entertainers do their thing.

Personally, I could have done without the entertainers. That really isn’t my kind of thing, I suppose. And their style of music actually detracted from the overall atmosphere of the lobby, in my opinion. Besides that, there were some pretty bright lights on them, and I had to work to tone the lighting down for that area of the photo.

But still, the atrium lobby was a great place to be. And it seemed like there was almost always something going on in there.
