Laura on the Disney Dream

Laura looks out from our verandah on the Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Dream

Laura looks out from our verandah on the Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Dream, checking out the beautiful blue water. She was wearing her Pirate Mickey ears for Pirate Night.

It was interesting to see just how dressed up some people got for Pirate Night. There were complete costumes, such as Captain Hook and Jack Sparrow. And I’m not just talking about the kids. There were almost more adults dressed up than there were kids. Either some people really take Pirate Night seriously, or some people are just looking for an excuse to dress up in a costume. Either way, there seemed to be much more interest in Pirate Night this time around than on our previous cruise.

And while we did participate, we chose to keep things simple. Laura had her ears and her Pirate Mickey t-shirt. I had my Pirate Mickey shirt that matched hers, and Jaylin had a pirate t-shirt as well that he had gotten in Nassau.

What can I say? I guess we really aren’t party people. At least not of the costume dress-up variety.
