At Jaylin's Football Game

At Jaylin’s Football Game

Laura and Jaylin stop for a photo after one of Jaylin’s recent football games. And what a game it was! Jaylin scored two touchdowns; for one, he received a short pass and ran for about 30 yards, and for the other he returned a kickoff for a touchdown. On defense, he had several good tackles. And he was even the kicker for the kickoff team, substituting for the usual kicker, and he made three deep kicks. On top of all that, they won 12-6, so everyone on the team played well, not just Jaylin.

This particular game was a “B” team game, meaning that most of the active players were the 5th graders on the 5th and 6th grade team, and I know Jaylin enjoyed the extra playing time, as did the others who also don’t get to play as much. And with the team doing well, things look pretty good for next year, when the “B” team moves up to the “A” team. Which suddenly makes me think of Mr. T, but that is a different A-Team.

Also, that particular night was a beautiful night for a football game, as the sun was starting to go down just about the same time that the game was starting. The sky put on a good show as we enjoyed the game, as you can see below.
