Laura at Ames Plantation

Laura at Ames Plantation

For the last few years, Laura has gone to the Ames Plantation Heritage Festival in Grand Junction, Tennessee, to sell her handmade jewelry, some of which she is wearing here. It is always a fun day, even if it did rain this year. And she made some money on top of all the fun, so that makes it even better.

As of Wednesday, Laura reached a momentous milestone - she has now been a Burns longer than she was a Templeton. Not that Wednesday was our anniversary, but it was the time past our anniversary that she has been married half our life. Yes, I’m a math guy, so I figured that out. I’m just glad she has put up with me for all this time now because it sure has been fun.

Here is one more photo from that day. You can’t plan for moments like this. They just happen.
