Lonely Beach Chairs

Lonely Beach Chairs at Cocoa Beach, Florida

These beach chairs at Cocoa Beach, Florida, looked lonely being all out there by themselves. Apparently, someone arrived early, set up their chairs and umbrella, and then went off to wander the beach for a while. Fortunately, they knew well enough to close the umbrella before they left, because it was particularly windy that day.

Off in the distance to the right, you can see one lone figure, but I don’t think those were his beach chairs, because there was just one of him.

I thought the black and white tones added to the loneliness of the photo here, so that is one reason why I went with that instead of color. The other reason is that I was starting to feel like most all of my beach photos were looking the same lately. I like the way that they look with the blue sky and yellowish sand, but I felt that a change was needed, at least for once. Still, it was hard to pull away from my normal look to create this. But once I saw how it turned out, I was glad I did.

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:37-39
