Boat Dock at Sunset

Boat Dock at Sunset at Cocoa Beach, Florida

While driving in Cocoa Beach, Florida, we came across what we thought would be a nice spot for photos. You may remember it from this earlier photo, which turned out to be one of my favorites of our trip.

Also at that location was this small boat dock. Or maybe it is a pier. Or maybe they are the same thing. Or maybe it just doesn’t matter. Anyway, this wooden structure ran alongside a boat ramp for people to put their boats into the water. And this particular water is the Banana River, just in case you were wondering.

I always think wooden things (piers, docks, etc.) in the water make for interesting photos, so I was delighted to see this. And on top of that, the sunset was starting to be visible after a storm had passed over, so the light quality was quite interesting, as you can see.

So while the other photo may be my favorite of the trip, this one is a close second. Always nice when those little unplanned things turn out so well.

Then he climbed into the boat with them, and the wind died down. They were completely amazed. - Mark 6:51
