The View Down the Beach

The View Down the Beach at Cocoa Beach, Florida

Winter weather is threatening all around us, and those up north have had a particularly wintry time of it lately. And why isn’t “wintry” spelled “wintery,” anyway? Not that it really matters, just curious.

But anyhow, hopefully this warm-looking photo will warm up your day slightly. Unfortunately, looking at it isn’t really warming me up all that much. It does bring back warm memories, but those warm memories don’t bring back actual warmth, as it turns out.

Oh well, at least summer is only two seasons away. Which will be enough time for everyone to forget how cold it is right now and complain about how hot they are. It’s the circle of life.

For those curious, this was a perfect summer day at Lori Wilson Park in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Nice and warm. And sunny. Wishing I were there right about now.

In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun. It is like a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, like a champion rejoicing to run his course. It rises at one end of the heavens and makes its circuit to the other; nothing is deprived of its warmth. - Psalm 19:4-6
