Nassau, Bahamas

Nassau, Bahamas

From the upper deck of the Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Dream, you can get a good overview of Nassau in the Bahamas when the ship is docked there. And as you can see, the first buildings you enter after walking along the walkway to the town are quite colorful and welcoming. Pretty interesting to be up this high looking down on the town.

One of the often-repeated rules of photography is not to have the horizon in the center of the frame. And yes, I find that I break that rule all of the time. It is more of a guideline, really. After all, having the horizon in the center here provides a nice balance between the cloud-filled sky above and the blue water below.

I should probably try to follow that rule more often, but I guess I just can’t help shooting things as I see them sometimes.

And God said, “Let there be a vault between the waters to separate water from water.” So God made the vault and separated the water under the vault from the water above it. And it was so. God called the vault “sky.” And there was evening, and there was morning—the second day. - Genesis 1:6-8
