Daily Photo: Mickey Mouse

On November 18, 1928, “Steamboat Willie” premiered at the Colony Theater in New York. Although it was not the first Mickey Mouse cartoon to be made, it was the first one to be released to theaters. So this date is considered to be Mickey Mouse’s birthday. And Minnie’s birthday as well, because she was also in the cartoon.

So here is Mickey Mouse, along with a few of the others, from Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom in the “Move It! Shake It! Celebrate It!” parade. Whatever “it” is.
