Daily Photo: On a Boat on Bay Lake

On a boat on Bay Lake at Walt Disney World

I always think that riding the different boats at Walt Disney World is a pretty neat experience. It isn’t something that we get to do all the time when we are there, but every now and then we find a chance to be out on the water.

On this occasion, we rode the boat across Bay Lake from the Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness Campground. It is a pretty neat experience to be out on a boat in the middle of Bay Lake. It feels like you are worlds away from anything. Which I guess in a way you are.

And yes, those are storm clouds in the sky. The boat captain had just received word on his radio of a big storm to the west with strong winds. Fortunately, we reached our destination before that arrived.

And also, yes, those are Laura’s feet propped up on the right of the frame. The captain asked some people to move to the other side of the boat, because everyone had ended up sitting on the same side, making the boat list just a bit. And no one wanted to be wet from falling in the water any more than from the rain.
