Daily Photo: Laura on a Boat

While we were at Kentucky Lake with our friends the Streets, we did lots of fun things. We all rode the Wave Runner at various times. Laura and Jaylin were pulled on the tube behind the boat. And Jaylin even got up on the knee board.

But Laura and I both agreed that one of our favorite things was just riding in the boat.

From as far back as I can remember, I have always enjoyed boats. It is such a different feel from being in a car on the road. Sometimes you have a smooth ride. Sometimes, you have a rough ride if the water is rough or if you cross another boat’s wake. You can feel the wind through your hair (if you have any).

Maybe some of the enjoyment comes from the freedom of not having strict lanes as you do in a car on the road. You still have to watch out for others, but you can largely just wander where you want to, as long as the water is deep enough.

Boats are fun!
