Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios looks menacing, no matter what time of year it is.

To me, the Tower of Terror is the perfect Disney Halloween attraction, as we discussed in Beyond the Berm Episode 4. It has a slight edge over the Haunted Mansion because the Tower of Terror actually mentions Halloween. As the story goes, the Hollywood Tower Hotel was struck by lightning on October 31, 1939. And of course, October 31 is Halloween, although I know you already knew it.

But really, I enjoy the Tower of Terror any time of year. It is fun, and it mixes together several different kinds of technology. Oh yeah, and it has a big drop at the end. What more could you ask for? Besides a shorter line, that is.

Because it is Halloween, or at least it was Halloween when this post was made, I thought this look for the Tower of Terror was just a bit spooky and appropriate for the day.
