Holiday Wishes at the Magic Kingdom

Cinderella Castle’s Dream Lights glow as fireworks explode all around during the Holiday Wishes fireworks show at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom.

I went on record in Episode 7 of Beyond the Berm as saying that I enjoy the Holiday Wishes fireworks even better than the usual Magic Kingdom fireworks. But answering the question “Why?” is a bit difficult.

Probably one of the main things I like about the show is the general good feeling that you get around Christmas, especially when watching something that brings out an emotional response even under normal circumstances. So yeah, it’s a psychological thing. At least I think it is. I am an engineer, after all.

But I do like how they incorporate the Dream Lights into the show at times, along with the usual colors projected onto Cinderella Castle. And there are also more fireworks bursts launched around - and actually from - Cinderella Castle, too.

On top of all that, the music is good, too, along with Jiminy Cricket’s narration. Fireworks, good music, castle lights, and Christmas - what more is there in life?

And if you are curious, this photo is my current desktop wallpaper image. That’s how much I like it.
