Winter Morning

Winter Morning

This was the view from our front porch this morning. Looks pretty cold, doesn’t it? That’s because it was. I suppose “cold” is a relative term, but to us, 28 degrees is pretty cold. In other words, if there is frost on the ground, as there is here, it is cold.

But that is typical on a winter morning such as this. The sun was just starting to come up, which meant that the frost wouldn’t be lasting for very long.

Actually, it does look rather nice in some ways if you are seeing it from inside the house. But when I stepped outside to get this photo, my first thought was, “Snap that shutter quickly! It is freezing out here!” I usually try to follow that voice in my head as long as it isn’t telling me to do something crazy like, “Hey, buy all the seasons of ‘The A-Team’ on DVD!” So I just got this one frame and ran back inside. Fortunately, the one frame was a good one.
