Re: Trains to be on display during downtime

According to the article guests are supposed to be able to get "upclose" to the locomotives. Now I am not sure how they define "upclose" but I doubt the suits will let guests near a locomotive that was/is fired up for towing purposes. I was thinking they would couple three locomo...

Re: Lilly Belle Status

I visted Strasburg today and took the shop tour. I was able to see Lilly but from a distance. I was unable to take a picture or be able to get a good look to see what kind of work is completed or what still needs to be done.

Re: Cal/OSHA affects the DRR

Whoever is running this show of unnessacary "saftey regulations" which are at this point (actually more like any point) hurting more than helping needs to stop. Filling up the tanks every trip wont work forever, it justs takes too long. As stated above common sense no longer exists in this...

Re: Cal/OSHA affects the DRR

If I remember correctly the WDWRR had this same issue a few years back. There solution to the problem was to have the fireman stand on the rear of the tender instead of on top of it.

Re: The No. 4 Whistle

Ugh...I just wish that awful whistle would just fall off and go away. I too prefer Roy's deep whistle.

Re: Fact checking, anyone?

WOW!!! ARE THEY THAT STUPID?!

Anyway, as hilarious as i find the Kimball wheel arrangment, i think my favorite is that Ripley pulls the freight train. Even if they were going for 1955 when each locomotive did exclusively pull a train they would still have it wrong.

Re: Amusement Park Modelling

I say "almost" all because this shop didn't have the track sections that you hook the wires up to from the power pack. In fact he says they're no longer available? Something about China? ??? I can't inagine they're completely unavailable. Are you looking for Atlas terminal track? If you a...
