Dave was very kind and sent me a high-rez scan of the source image. It has no color correction, and yet those pixels still show maroon, not green.
It's largely a moot point: we already painted the numbers with the same green as the letters. However, I want to avoid someone coming forward at a future event and saying, "You know, you guys got that all wrong. Here's a photo that clearly shows that the numbers were burgundy. Walt would have never allowed this to happen!"

I wouldn't sweat it, Michael. I'm not going to do that to you.

Neat footage, I love seeing Disneyland in the very early days when the trees and landscaping were all new.
Two things not related to the train caught my eye.
First, very early in the film at the intro to Frontierland there is a guest being pushed about in a wheelchair. It seems like there is not a lot of film of handicapped guests at the park in the early days, but at least a few brave souls did make their way to the park to enjoy themselves.
Second, at the main street scene they show 3 street cars in operation. It looked like a pretty tight squeeze for them to pass too, seems like they should have held the third car up at the hub or at town square while the other two made the pass on main street. Have they ever operated more than two street cars at once in recent years?
