This week at the Burnsland Blog (6/16-6/22)

Post by Steve »

A look back at the past week from the Burnsland Blog. We are back from our Florida trip from last week, and most of the blog posts reflect that.

Also, it has been a couple of weeks since I have posted one of these updates, so you may want to look through the blog posts to see if you missed anything.

As always, keep up with the latest Burnsland happenings at Twitter, Facebook, and Google+.

WORDS:

Back Home Again - Did you miss us?

Gators and Firemen - Any guesses as to where this mural is?

Church Visiting - Visting a church on vacation is always interesting.

A Bit of Memphis in Florida - You never know what you might find.

Gorgeous photos as always Steve - thanks for sharing them with everyone.

How was WDW last week? Were the crowds manageable? Also, how was the weather?

I'm really itching to go back there again soon!

It was a typical June week as far as the weather goes - hot, humid, rain in the afternoon. But it is what we expect for this time of year, so we were prepared for it. It actually cooled off just a bit by the end of the week, when the highs were only in the upper 80s instead of the low 90s. Not that I could tell that much difference. :)

As far as the crowds go, what we saw of them wasn't that bad. We only went to one park - Magic Kingdom - on one day, which was Friday. We skip long lines anyway and use FastPasses when we can, so the longest we waited for anything was about 15 minutes. Unfortunately, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was down during the middle of the day, and FastPasses weren't available when it was operating again. By the early evening, the line was only about 30 minutes, but by that time we didn't feel like waiting even that long for it. Overall, it was a really good day!

And actually, that goes for the whole week as well. Really good week!
