Brother Bear - A man becomes a bear to learn to look at things through others' eyes. Features new songs by Phil Collins, and a great voice cast. Especially notable are Dave Thomas and Rick Moranis as Tuke and Rutt, two wisecracking moose. |
The Emperor's New Groove - Ultimate 2 Disc Edition - One of my favorite Disney animated movies, and one of the funniest they ever made, with a great voice cast featuring David Spade, John Goodman, Eartha Kitt, and Patrick Warburton. This 2-disc set contains a second disc about the making of the movie; a single disc edition is also available. |

Finding Nemo - The latest film from Pixar tells a fishy story full of great characters, humor, and touching moments. A great voice cast and wonderful animation by Pixar help give a sense of being underwater. Thomas Newman's score perfectly underscores the action as well as the dramatic moments. |
Home on the Range - A fun western that doesn't take itself too seriously. Cows set out to save the farm. Features an all-star cast and new songs by award winning composer Alan Menken. |

Lilo & Stitch - A fun film about an alien landing in Hawaii and trying to blend in to avoid capture by his pursuers. A departure from some of the normal Disney animated movies, this one adds freshness to the mix. I enjoy the backgrounds in this movie. Each one was hand painted entirely in watercolor and is an individual work of art. |
The Lion King (Disney Special Platinum Edition) - One of Disney's biggest animated movies is finally released on DVD. This special edition features a new song, Morning Report, which was originally written for but not included in the movie, although it was included in the broadway version. Like Snow White and Beauty and the Beast, this 2-disc set is loaded with extras. |
|||
The Lion King 1-1/2 - Not necessarily a sequel or a prequel, but the story of the Lion King told from another point of view. This 2-disc set also has some entertaining features on the second disc, including the Virtual Safari 1.5. |
Monsters, Inc. - The most recent DVD release from Pixar, this movie tells the story of monsters who scare children for a living. Featuring the usual high-quality animation Pixar is known for, and a voice cast headed by Billy Crystal and John Goodman. Disc 2 of this set explores the human and monster worlds to give you a complete view of the making of the movie. |

Treasure Planet - An exciting adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson's Treasure Island set in outer space. One of of the most ambitious Disney animated offerings ever, with a seemingly seamless blend of hand-drawn and computer animation especially in Glen Keane's animation of John Silver. Great swashbuckling fun! |
