Daily Photo: Tower of Terror, Top to Bottom
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios has always been one of my favorites ever since it first opened. To me, it is almost like the next generation of the Haunted Mansion. A fantastic building, an interesting lobby and opening scene, And some tricks to make you wonder how they did it. And then on top of all that is that great drop. What more could you want? According to most of the rest of my group, it would be much better without that big drop. But then it just wouldn’t be the same.
It actually took me a few visits before I discovered this top to bottom view of the entire building. The entrance into the hotel is actually on the second level up above this ground level, where the exit and gift shop are located. So you exit a level below where you entered, although most people don’t realize that.
This entire view of the building really takes a wide angle lens to get it all in one shot. I wasn’t able to quite get it all with my other lenses, but the wide angle of the 10-20mm lens solved that.
And yes, I went for a slightly different look for this photo. The vivid colors that I usually use just didn’t seem to fit the atmosphere of the Tower of Terror, so I changed up my processing just a bit. I like it.
