Fantasyland in the Evening

Fantasyland in the Evening in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World

Cinderella Castle towers over the Prince Charming Regal Carousel in Fantasyland at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom, as seen here in the early evening. And there were even some pinkish-purple hues in the clouds to match the tones on the castle and on the carousel canopy.

We went to Pinocchio Village Haus for our evening meal, and I saw that people were eating in the small upstairs seating area. So we went up there with our food. After we had started eating, I saw someone come in from outside, and I realized that the outdoor upstairs seating area was also open. So once I finished my meal, I went outside with my camera, because I liked the elevated view that was available from the seating area. And it turned out to be the perfect time of day, too.

However, I wasn’t quite as impressed with the menu at Pinoccchio’s Village Haus. Instead of the individual pizzas that we used to always get there, they now have flatbread pizzas, which to me are much more “flat” than they are “bread.” I know Disney is trying to serve more healthy food to its guests, but I like my pizza with a good crust to it.

Why do people have to try to make pizza healthy, anyway?

About the Photo

The original version of this that I produced was processed using Photomatix. But for whatever reason, I wasn’t quite happy with that one, so I went back and created a version with just Photoshop, and that is what you see here. Sometimes Photomatix improves a photo, and sometimes it doesn’t. It never hurts to try, though.

A single RAW exposure, processed in Photoshop. Read more about the photo software and gear I use at the camera gear page.
