Coca-Cola Store at Disney Springs

Have a Coke and a Smile

If you know me, you know I like to drink Coca-Cola. In fact, the three main things that I drink are water, orange juice, and Coke. That’s pretty much it. So you would think a Coca-Cola Store would be right up my alley.

But actually, we have only been in there a couple of times. And I think the only thing that any of us bought was a baseball cap that Jaylin bought one time. That’s it. As it turns out, even though I drink lots of Coke, I don’t collect much of their merchandise. Who knew? I’m just in it for the bubbles and the caffeine. They do sell Coca-Cola treats at the counter on the roof level, but we just always wait and drink a bottle of Coke when we get back to our room. Just the simple stuff for us.

However, I do like the look of the Coca-Cola Store building with its glass exterior and the large logo above the entrance. The reflections in the glass walls are really cool. And all of the glass is tinted the same color as the old glass Coca-Cola bottles, too. Pretty cool!

The Good Stuff

As I mentioned above, I don’t drink much besides water, orange juice, and Coke. And the orange juice is just for breakfast. Just simple tastes for me.

Apparently, I am in a minority. Most everyone drinks either tea or coffee or both. Laura’s family would always drink tea at lunch and dinner. When we were first dating, it took me a while to convince them that I did not drink tea. But eventually, they figured out to fix me water. It has been much the same with coffee-drinking friends, too. It isn’t a big deal, and I try not to be rude about it. I just find a polite way to say, “Thank you, but could I have water instead?”

And yes, I try not to drink too much Coke, at least when I can. I know water is much better for me. But I do like the bubbles and the caffeine, not to mention the sugar. So I haven’t given it up completely. Fortunately, there has not been a run on Coca-Cola recently as there has been on things like paper towels and toilet paper.

Because while it is not essential, I do still like the good stuff. You may disagree on what is the good stuff, and that is just fine, too. Everyone has their own opinions, and that does not make one of us right and one of us wrong. That just makes us human.

Bible Verse

If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. - Colossians 3:1-2

About the Photo

This photo has an interesting mood to it, thanks to the clouds that were overhead at the time. So I went with that in the processing. Because I think that sort of thing is cool anyway.

At first glance, it almost looks like this is black and white, except for the red stripe. But, of course, there are other colors there, they just are not as prominent. But I did increase the saturation and luminance of the red color to bring it out more. And what are the chances that there would be a guy wearing the same color of red right in front of the red stripe? I thought about taking out the color of his shirt, but I decided to leave it as it is.
