Daily Photo: Crossroads of the World

One of the first sights you see when entering Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Walt Disney World is the Crossroads of the World. This is based on a very similar tower in the real Hollywood in California. Except that this one has Mickey Mouse on top of the world.

And yes, the park was as empty as it looks. We were there early for a character breakfast. That group of people to the left of the Crossroads is the rest of my group, who must not have been aware that I stopped for some pictures. Or they were aware and just kept on going.

About the shot:
The light was just perfect on this particular morning, so I couldn’t resist getting some shots before the sun and the people count both went up. Three exposures (-2, 0, +2) merged and tonemapped in Photomatix, and then edited in PaintShop Pro.
