Happy New Year 2022!

Make It Good!

Happy New Year from Burnsland

Happy New Year from Burnsland to you! Yes, as of this posting it is now the third day of 2022, but that still qualifies as new in my mind!

What does the New Year have in store for us? Will it be like the last two years, or will things be different? Will we return to whatever “normal” might be, or will things stay the same? Are great things in store for us, or only mediocre things at best?

What will it be? No one knows. And that is a good thing. We don’t know what the New Year will be like. We don’t even know for certain what tomorrow will be like. The weather forecast might even not be accurate.

Because we do not know what is ahead, that gives us a bit of freedom. We can make our own decisions and choose our own paths. Choose something good, and then do it. “Be sure you’re right, and then go ahead,” as Davy Crockett said.

Here’s hoping that 2022 is a great year for all of us. Because it will be great if we choose to make it great! Happy New Year!

“Remember not the former things, nor consider the things of old. Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?” - Isaiah 43:18-19

About the Artwork

The artwork for this post was something that I came up with quickly. I actually had it in my mind for a few days, but it took some time to find the time to actually create it.

The “confetti” in the background was actually created using a “Snow” brush in Procreate for iPad, the same brush that was used in this earlier artwork. I did not have a confetti brush, but I figured snow would look somewhat similar, especially with some color to it instead of just white snow. It did make for a rather busy background, but busy can be eye-catching, which can be good!
