Laura at the Georgia Aquarium

Laura at the Georgia Aquarium

Laura stands beside a dolphin outside of the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. No, the dolphin isn’t real, if you didn’t know that already.

Apparently, the Burnsland World Tour wasn’t quite finished yet after all. Last weekend, we went on a trip to Atlanta, Georgia, with our church youth group, as that was one of Jaylin’s first official youth group events that he could participate in.

For the trip, we went to the Georgia Aquarium (if you hadn’t guessed that already) and to Six Flags over Georgia. We even rode most of the big roller coasters there, which wasn’t too bad considering it had only been four weeks since Laura had surgery. There was only one that we skipped because she thought it might be a problem. Yes, we love roller coasters - the bigger and faster, the better.

However, I didn’t take my camera to Six Flags, believe it or not. And as much as I love taking photos, it was nice to have a break and to just go on a ride without having to worry about my camera bag. I did take a couple of photos with my phone, but that was it.

I did take several photos at the Georgia Aquarium, however, and my sister and her family even met us there for the morning, too. After not having been to aquariums much in my lifetime, I have now been to two this year. Pretty cool! Watch for some fishy photos sometime in the future.

Then Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.” They immediately left their nets and followed Him. - Mark 1:17-18

About the photo:
Another example of the off-center composition that I mentioned last week. Except that if you consider both Laura and the dolphin in the background to be the main subjects, it really isn’t that off-center after all.
A single RAW exposure, processed in Photoshop. Read more about the photo software and gear I use at the camera gear page.
