Be Thankful
Mobius the Goat is a thankful goat, and he wants to remind you to be thankful, too.
It might seem a little silly to remind you to be thankful as the Thanksgiving holiday is here. But as I often say, remember to be thankful every day of the year and not just on one day. Or not even just for the month of November. Be thankful all year long.
So often, we take things for granted and feel like we are owed everything. Because we have so much, it can be easy to forget to be thankful for what we have. If you need a reminder, just go to a third-world country, or a children’s hospital, or a nursing home, or even the inner city area where you live. Going to a place like that and seeing people who don’t have the belongings or the health that we take for granted can be a big eye-opener. In addition to helping you appreciate what you have, it can also make you want to help others, which is a good thing, too.
We hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday with whoever you get to spend it with and however you choose to spend it. Just remember to be thankful at other times, too.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. - Philippians 4:6
About the Artwork
Hindsight is a wonderful thing because you can learn a lot from it. For example, this time around I learned that I probably should have made the food on the tray held by Mobius the Goat look a little bigger and more full. But then maybe it just means that even if he does not have much, Mobius is thankful for what he has, and he is content and happy.
To give this artwork a slightly different look, I used a reddish-brown outline in keeping with the overall color scheme that I associate with Thanksgiving. And I used gray tones instead of solid black like I often use. I liked the fall/Thanksgiving look for this one.
