Mobius the Tiki Goat

Goat or Tiki?

Is this the latest in the Mobius the Goat series, or is this the latest in the Tiki series? Why can’t it be part of both series? Let’s just go with that. And besides, how many goat tikis are there out there? I’m guessing not very many.

I have had the idea of drawing Mobius as a tiki character for some time, but I was not quite sure of how it would turn out. I think this is what I had in mind when I started out. Close enough, anyway.

One idea was to have him look his normal gray color as if the wood had been painted. I gave that a try, but then I decided I liked the natural wood look better. Besides, it should be rather obvious who he is, because who else would wear a shirt like that, anyway?

About the Artwork

For this one, I wanted to capture some of the same feeling as in the Happy Tiki artwork. I particularly liked the background in that one, and I wanted to do something similar here. Not necessarily exactly the same, but rather just something kind of like it. A companion piece, you might say. With a goat.

Created using the Procreate app and an Apple Pencil on an iPad.
