Spaceship Earth and Clouds at Epcot

In the Clouds

Spaceship Earth seems to float among the clouds in Epcot at Walt Disney World, as seen during the 2019 Band and Chorus Disney Trip.

I have shared lots of Spaceship Earth photos over the years here at the Burnsland website. And some of them start to look a little similar sometimes. But I don’t mind that at all.

Spaceship Earth is such an impressive sight, due to the enormity of the sphere and how it towers over you when you are standing next to it. And then, somewhere along the way it hits you that there is actually a ride inside of that. Or maybe it does not hit you. From what I have heard, some people do not realize that the Spaceship Earth ride is actually up inside the sphere. Maybe somewhere during the ride they should have included a big window so that you could look out and see just how high up you are. But then a window would spoil the cool metallic surface of the sphere, so that would not look quite right.

So while this is not the first Spaceship Earth photo I have posted here, I am sure it won’t be the last one, either. Even if the next one looks a little like some of the previous photos.

Memories

It is always fun to go back and look through photos of past trips and relive the memories from those times. That is one of the fun things about taking photos in the first place.

However, that might not be so popular with some people right now. Because we do not know for certain when all of the quarantine recommendations will end, we don’t know what upcoming travel plans will look like. Looking back at past travel photos without knowing when you can travel again makes some people a little sad. And understandably so.

If you fall into that category, feel free not to look at old travel photos right now. Instead, find something else to do. Find some way to take your mind off your worries.

Memories affect different people in different ways. For some, they remind us of the good times. But for others, they just show the uncertainty of the future. While in many ways it is best to let go of the past and look forward to the future, that is a little more difficult when the future is unknown as it is now.

In that case, it is best to focus on the present and enjoy the blessings that you get to have right now. That may be difficult at times, too. But we can look around us and see some of the things we are blessed with. Life, health, food, shelter, family, and so on.

Do your best to enjoy the present without worrying too much about the future.

Bible Verse

Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you. - Luke 6:38

About the Photo

While this photo looks similar to lots of other Spaceship Earth photos, each one that I have posted has slightly different colorings, processing, clouds, and other details. That is why I don’t mind including one more here.

I chose to go with a cooler color temperature here than a warmer, more yellow scheme, just for something different. I love the warm tones, but I thought the cooler blues worked well with the subject here.
