Think Thankfully From Steve's Sketchbook

Be Thankful

Think thankfully, or in other words, change your mindset so that you are thankful for what you have. And do it all year long, too.

In honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, here is a reminder to Think Thankfully. Be thankful not just now, but all of the time.

I think that it is great that we have a day to remind us to be thankful. It is good to focus on what we have and to thank God for all of our blessings. Even when things are not going our way, which has been the case for many people this year, we can stop and count lots of blessings if we try. This is certainly a good time to do that.

However, we can be thankful all of the time, and not just on a holiday. In fact, we should be thankful all of the time. We can easily get caught up in noticing what others have and what we do not have. We can start to look around for other things that we want, which many times are things that we do not need.

Instead of focusing on what we do not have, we should instead be thankful for what we do have. If we change our perspective, we will see just how much we have. When we do that, our situation may not have changed, but our outlook certainly will have changed. All because of how we think.

Think thankfully. Not just at the end of November, but all year long.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Bible Verse

Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

About the Artwork

This design is a good bit more abstract than what I have been doing recently for Steve’s Sketchbook. But I knew what I wanted, and this is pretty much it.

I wanted the words surrounded by some abstract designs. The words are the main focus here. The rest of the stuff is just to make the words look a little more interesting, so that it catches your eye. Once you are caught, the words are there to make you think. Anything else I might have added would have distracted you from thinking about the meaning of the words.

Simple, slightly artsy, and hopefully effective.

Here is a look at how it came to be:
