Tree of Life in the Sun at Disney's Animal Kingdom

The Tree of life appears to glow in the sunlight at Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World, as seen during our December 2016 visit. At times I like the closer views of the Tree of Life from right underneath the tree. But other times I like these distant views that show just how large the Tree of Life really is.
It is also interesting to see just how well the Tree of Life blends in with the real trees and grass that surround it. Those guys know what they are doing sometimes, don’t they? Plus, they even have animal carvings similar to those on the tree all the way out at this location far from the tree. Those give you a small taste of what you can find on the tree itself.
Real or Not?
Believe it or not, many of the things in the Disney parks are not real. I know that can be hard to believe sometimes, but it is true. Most of the time, the real and the imaginary (or fake, if you prefer) are difficult to tell apart from each other. So I have given up trying in the last few years. Instead, I try to just enjoy whatever is there and not worry about how it is all done. I still like to find those things out sometimes, but I don’t spend as much time thinking about it as I used to. The real things and the fake things work together to create that imaginary world, and I might as well enjoy it, right?
Besides, for all the money that you spend to go there, worrying about how they do things is not the best way to get your money’s worth. So just enjoy it.

About the photo
To get just the right look of this photo, I combined three different exposures from the same Raw file using Photoshop. The “base” layer is the sky and the background trees. The foreground with the animal carvings was rather dark, so I used a second, brighter exposure to lighten that area of the photo. And then the Tree of Life was actually too bright, so I used a third, darker exposure for the tree.
Hopefully, just like the subjects of the photo itself, the photo looks natural instead of looking fake. Because in reality, the photo is in many ways every bit as fake as the Tree of Life really is. But maybe you only know that because I told you so.
