Angel Fountain at Christ Church Cathedral in Nassau

An angel fountain is found in the courtyard of Christ Church Cathedral in Nassau, Bahamas, as seen during our 2018 Christmas Disney Cruise.
As you may remember, we often stop by Christ Church Cathedral when we are in Nassau. And this last cruise was no different. As we were walking by outside the building, I noticed this fountain in the courtyard. I thought it was perfect for a photo. We could not go in because the gate was locked, but I liked the view from outside the fence just fine.
This is probably more of a birdbath than a fountain. There may not be a water line run to it. It may just fill up with water after a rain and give the birds a place to cool off. If you look closely, you will notice that there are some carved birds sitting on the edge of the bowl. I am sure the real birds appreciate something cool in the Nassau heat.
Regardless of what it was, this was such a serene, calm scene. We did not spend more than a moment or two looking at the view and taking this photo, but it was really interesting to see.
Relax
Sometimes a serene, calm scene is what is needed. That may be even more true right now. Many people report feeling busier and more hectic now, even with all of the extra time that we all have at home. Maybe that is due to everyone being home together all the time, or maybe that is due to the uncertainty that we still have right now. But for whatever reason, this time has not always been the most relaxing for many people.
If that sounds like you, a calm place might help. It could be a garden, a flowerbed, a quiet room at home, a shady spot under a tree, a comfortable chair, a front porch swing, or just about anywhere that works for you.
Hopefully, you can go to that calm place and have a little time to yourself. Spend that time reading, praying, thinking, noticing nature, or whatever helps you to relax. It is up to you, because what works for someone else might not work for you.
Schedule some relaxing time into your day each day. It will help your mood and your health, too!

About the Photo
There really is not all that much special about this photo. I used the standard zoom lens on my camera, zooming in slightly on the fountain, although I wanted to keep some of the archway for framing.
Unfortunately, centering everything was a little bit of an issue. I could only put the camera lens in certain places to fit it in between the fence bars. So I could either have the foreground archway centered or the fountain itself centered, but not both. The photo looked better with the archway centered for framing, so that is what you get here. It might not be all that noticeable to anyone except me. And you, now that I pointed it out.
