Daily Photo: Space Mountain in the Distance

Space Mountain in the distance in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World

I was looking back through some photos from our trip to Walt Disney World last summer, and I came across this one of from the Magic Kingdom. And to be quite honest, I’m not sure exactly what I was going for when I took it. I’m sure it has something to do with the juxtaposition of Cinderella Castle to the left and the Castle Stage to the right with Space Mountain way off in the distance. Of course, it might have been better if Space Mountain were a little larger.

This was taken from the bridge into the castle, in case you couldn’t tell. One of the rare times when you can actually walk straight through the castle, because there wasn’t a show going on at the stage. And I like having the sun in the shot, too, which shows that this was still relatively early in the morning.

About the shot:
Three exposures (-2, 0, +2) tonemapped in Photomatix, edited in PaintShop Pro. Read more about the photo software I use and my camera gear.
